Jaguar Land Rover Automatic Gearbox Servicing - Checkley, near Nantwich

Having your automatic transmission serviced is an often overlooked part of vehicle maintenance, but it can be a costly one, so to avoid unwanted repair costs, it’s worth including this in your regular maintenance programme.

At Oval Motorworks, we provide automatic gearbox servicing for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles at our workshop in Checkley, near Nantwich, where we have specialised machinery and skilled technicians to ensure a job well done.

Good automatic gearbox servicing involves flushing out the entirety of the old gearbox fluid, as this can become viscous and less lubricating over time. If this old, ineffective fluid is left in the gearbox for too long, it can lead to damaging friction between the metal components of the gearbox. During the service, the filter is also changed, and the transmission pan removed to allow access.

Why have your automatic gearbox serviced at Oval Motorworks?

Well, we stand apart from the crowd because when we service your automatic gearbox, we remove 100% of the existing gearbox fluid, unlike many garages that only flush out about 60% of the old fluid. This protects your automatic gearbox, keeping it running smoothly and problem-free for longer.

As true, independent JLR vehicle specialists, Oval Motorworks is a member garage of the IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry), the IGA (Independent Garage Association), and Trust My Garage.  These memberships underpin our drive for excellence in every area of our business – front of house and in our workshop – so we can serve you, our valued customer, with the very highest standards of workmanship and customer service.
